Traffic Alert: Section of Route 743 to close for pipe replacement in Carroll County

SALEM – Weather permitting, starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, a section of Route 743 (Airport Road) in Carroll County will be closed to through traffic between Route 705 (Coon Ridge Road) and Route 620 (Coulson Church Road) for a pipe replacement. Residents will still have access to their homes on either side of the closure.

Through traffic can detour around the closure by using Coon Ridge Road to northbound Route 52 (Poplar Camp Road) to Coulson Church Road. Drivers should pay attention to detour signs and electronic message boards in the area.

Work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, weather permitting.
