Rail crossing replacement requires detour of Highway 6 near Cohasset (Aug. 20, 2026)

DULUTH, Minn. –  The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be detouring Highway 6 near Cohasset for BNSF Railway to replace a railroad crossing. The highway will be fully closed just south of Highway 2 on Highway 6 starting at 6 a.m. Aug. 24 and is expected to reopen the afternoon of Aug. 28. Motorists will be detoured on Highway 2 to County Road 11 to Highway 6.
