(September 28, 2026) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin a resurfacing project along MD 214 (Central Avenue) between Camp Letts Road and Beverley Avenue in the Edgewater area starting Wednesday night, September 30. The project should be completed in mid-October, weather permitting.
Drivers can expect nighttime single-lane closures and a flagging operation while work is underway. Work hours are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights. Contractor Allan Myers MD of Fallston will mill, patch and resurface this section of MD 214.
Portable variable message signs are in place, advising drivers of the upcoming roadwork. Customers who have questions may contact the SHA District 5 Office at 410-841-1000 or 800-331-5603 with any questions.
