I-95 Northbound and Southbound

Exit 133 (Falmouth/Warrenton) to Exit 148 (Quantico)

Monday – Saturday, 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Mobile northbound and southbound single lane closures for bridge inspections at multiple locations between exits 133 and 148 in Stafford.

Exit 143 (Aquia/Garrisonville)

Sunday – Thursday, 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Varying single and double lane closures between mile markers 145-142 near the interchange. Installation of pavement markers and rumble strips following recent paving.

I-95 Northbound

Exit 130 (Route 3) to Exit 133 (Falmouth/Warrenton)

Sunday – Monday, 10 p.m.- 5 a.m., Monday - Thursday, 9 p.m.-6 a.m. and Thursday- Friday, 8 p.m.- 4 a.m.Varying single lane and interstate shoulder closures. Crews will gather soil samples at various locations between the two interchanges.

Exit 130 (Route 3) to Exit 133 (Falmouth/Warrenton)

Wednesday – Saturday, 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Single lane closure in the I-95 northbound local lanes for the inspection of the Rappahannock River bridge. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the lane closure does not begin until 10 p.m.

Exit 126 (Spotsylvania)

Sunday – Thursday, 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Single closure near the interchange for construction.

I-95 Southbound

Exit 148 (Quantico) to Exit 143 (Aquia/Garrisonville)

Sunday - Monday, 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. Mobile work with single lane closures on I-95 southbound between the two interchanges to gather soil samples.

Exit 148 (Quantico) to Exit 143 (Aquia/Garrisonville)

Monday – Thursday, 9 p.m.- 6 a.m. and Thursday - Friday, 9 p.m. - 5 a.m. Single lane closure or mobile lane closure between mile markers 145-142 near the interchange. Installation of pavement markers and rumble strips following recent paving.

Exit 133 (Route 17) to Exit 130 (Route 3)

Sunday – Tuesday, 10 p.m.- 5 a.m. Mobile work with single lane closures on I-95 southbound between the two interchanges and along the I-95 southbound off-ramps at exit 133 (Falmouth/Warrenton) and exit 130 (Route 3) to gather soil samples.

Exit 126 (Spotsylvania)

Sunday – Thursday, 10 p.m.-7 a.m. and Friday – Saturday, 10 p.m.-4 a.m. Varying single and double lane closures near the interchange for noise barrier installation. All southbound lanes reopen by 7 a.m. except Saturday, when all lanes will reopen at 4 a.m.

Caroline County

Route 1

Monday – Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Right lane closures on Route 1 between Ladysmith Road and Route 207 (Rogers Clark Boulevard). Utility work under permit.

Wednesday – Thursday, 8 p.m.- 4 a.m. Intermittent FULL TRAFFIC STOPS on Route 1 between Ladysmith Road and Edmund Pendleton Drive for up to 15-minute intervals for utility work under permit.

Route 301

Monday – Thursday, 8 p.m.-6 a.m. and Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Installation of pavement markers at various locations on Route 301. Mobile operation with alternating lane closures.

Route 639 (Ladysmith Road)

Monday – Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Single lane closure between Route 1 and Partlow Road for utility work under permit.

Monday – Friday, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Single lane closures for guardrail work at various locations on the following routes in Caroline:Route 1

City of Fredericksburg

Route 1 Northbound and Southbound

Monday – Friday, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and Tuesday – Friday, 7 p.m.-6 a.m. Alternating northbound and southbound single lane closures between Stafford Avenue and College Avenue/Eagle Village Drive for construction to improve the Route 1 and Augustine Avenue intersection area. A temporary traffic pattern is in place with several turns from Route 1 onto side streets restricted for several weeks as the contractor works in the median. Detour signs are posted to guide traffic. All access remains open to College Avenue and Eagle Village Drive.

Fall Hill Avenue

Sunday – Tuesday, 10 p.m.-5 a.m. Mobile work near the I-95 overpasses to gather soil samples.

City of Fredericksburg and Stafford County 

Falmouth Bridge

Monday – Saturday, 7 p.m.-6 a.m. Bridge cleaning on Route 1 over the Rappahannock River between the City of Fredericksburg and Stafford County with alternating, single lane closures.

Essex County 

Route 17 Southbound

Monday – Friday, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Single lane closure for guardrail repair near Route 624.

Route 708 (Hospital Road)

Monday – Friday, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Slope repair, as well as drainage and guardrail work. One-way, alternating traffic directed by a flagging crew. This work zone will repeat weekly through early November 2026.

Gloucester County 

Route 17

Sunday – Thursday, 7 p.m.-5 a.m. Temporary pavement marking. Alternating lane closures between Main Street and Farys Mill Road, between Farys Mill Road and Meredith Drive, and between Belroi Road and Fiddlers Green Road.

Route 17 Northbound

Sunday – Thursday, 9 p.m.-8 a.m. Single travel lane and shoulder closures between Main Street and Beehive Drive. Construction for intersection improvements.
